Heat treating the technical aluminum connector tube and blade after TIG welding relieves residual stresses and produces a stronger shaft to blade interface. The powerful D-grip handle has stash pocket and a unique ice axe loop attachment. The shovel also features a slotted blade for emergency rescue sled construction.
